Brad Burke is a Writer, Director and Cinematographer who has found success in both short and feature films. After winning an RI Film & Language Award in 2011, Burke’s first short film Our World (2011) toured throughout several film festivals in Europe including the 2012 RIFF festival. In 2013, Burke moved onto the feature film scene with Cinematography gigs on both On the Night: Robert Madge in Concert (2012) and Last Flight of the Cosmonaut (post-production). In 2014, he got his first chance to write and direct his first feature length film with the musical Zompocalypse: Dead End (post-production), which is the first of a trilogy.
In 2015, Burke had a lot of success in short films. He started the year with directing and co-writing the music video Black Out (2015), which was accepted to the Oregon Independent Film Festival. He then directed the music video Look Back Once (2015) which attended festivals around the world, including the Toronto Independent Film Festival and a festival in Australia. Burke then had two films that were accepted into the UFO Film Festival; Alexander and Alexandra Kill a Man (2015), which he wrote, and The Number of Times the Wheel Turns (2015) which he directed. In 2015, Burke also worked with one of the groups which Pitch Perfect was based off, directing the music video 11:59 (2015).
After spending most the year working in short films, Burke decided to work on the short film Waldgeist, that he co-wrote with frequent co-writer Olivia Cordell. After seeing the length and quality of the initial cut of of the short, Burke decided that the film would be better served as a feature. He decided to produce the feature through his production company Green Studio Productions.
Almost immediately after wrapping production on Waldgeist, Burke was hired by Orion Productions as an Executive Producer and Showrunner on their TV series Daughter of Time (2016-). Burke was also hired to write, direct and produce his second music video for the band Babel Echo, Recovery Project. He also began preparation to direct a feature stand up comedy routine by his good friend Sohayla Renee about her experience of wearing a headscarf in a place of strong Islamophobia. He also started pre-production work on his third feature as a Director and Writer (second as a producer) Eight Types of Crazy, which will begin production in mid 2016.
